PUERTO MORELOS, Quintana Roo — The Caribe Ritmo Fest, a major festival of dance and music, is set to take place in Puerto Morelos from October 3 to October 5. The event, which promises to be the most significant of its kind in the region, will feature international musical exponents, competitions, classes, and exhibitions.
The festival will be held across three primary locations: La Sirena Roof, Ventana al Mar, and the Centro Cultural. It is expected to draw dance enthusiasts from across the country.

The event will feature a roster of guest instructors and performers. The invited list includes Pamela Perez, Ale Quintanilla, Camila Silva, Yan Lopez, Ale Mendez, Rodrigo de Cabrera, Magui, Renzo, Nathalia Coscia, and DJ Lamar.

The festival's program is structured over three days.
Friday, October 3
- Registration.
- Social class.
- Shows at La Sirena Roof, beginning at 8:00 PM.
Saturday, October 4
- Registration.
- Tour of cenotes.
- Afternoon workshops in Salsa and Bachata with instructors Yan Lopez, Pamela Perez, Ale Mendez, and Rodrigo de Cabrera.
- The evening concludes with registration for shows, the dance competitions for Kids and Social categories, and a general Social event and Shows.
Sunday, October 5
- Registration.
- A second Tour of cenotes.
Individual Activity Prices
The festival has released individual pricing for its various activities:
- Friday Social, which includes a class: 199 pesos.
- Saturday Social VIP: 199 pesos.
- Workshops Only on Saturday: 359 pesos.
- Workshops plus Social on Saturday: 399 pesos.
- Snorkeling on Saturday: 449 pesos.
- Cenote Tour on Saturday, including transportation and a box lunch: 749 pesos.
Salsa and Bachata Couples Dance Competition
A central feature of the festival will be a couples dance competition. The deadline for registration is the upcoming Wednesday.
The prizes for the competition are as follows:
- First Place: A trophy, 6,000 pesos in cash, and two full passes for the 2026 festival.
- Second Place: Commemorative medals, 3,000 pesos in cash, and one full pass for the 2026 festival.
- Third Place: Commemorative medals.
Categories and Requirements
- Style: Salsa and Bachata.
- Modality and Level: Mixed-gender or same-gender couples, open level.
- Registration: A fee of 300 pesos per person, per dance rhythm, is required. Competitors must also have purchased one of the event packages.
Format and Judging Criteria
- The competition consists of a Social Round for preliminaries and a Final Round for the Show Social.
- Dancing will be to random music played by a live DJ. Pre-choreographed routines are not permitted.
- The jury will evaluate competitors on Connection in the partnership, Musicality and timing, Dance technique, Style and interpretation, Creativity and improvisation, Attitude and stage presence, and the Difficulty of movements.
Organization and Jury
- The jury is composed of three experienced judges, and their decisions are final.
- A minimum of five registered couples per rhythm is required for the competition to proceed.
