Bacalar, Mexico — Justin “N”, a 40-year-old man wanted in the United States for multiple child sexual abuse offenses, was arrested in Bacalar by agents of the State Attorney General’s Office.
The individual was being sought for the crimes of human trafficking for sexual servitude, sexual assault of a victim with a disability, sexual exploitation of a child, acquisition of a child for sexual exploitation, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, illegal sexual contact, and child pornography.
According to information provided by the Attorney General’s Office, the subject was hiding in Quintana Roo, living in the municipalities of Cozumel and Bacalar.
The U.S. Marshals Service, the agency dedicated to locating fugitive criminals, alerted authorities in this state to the presence of the alleged sexual aggressor in Bacalar.
The arrest was ultimately carried out on September 25, when personnel from the Attorney General’s Office located and detained the individual on 40th Street in the municipal seat of Bacalar, for his eventual transfer to the United States.
Subsequently, the detainee was transferred to the facilities of the National Migration Institute (INM) for deportation and handover to U.S. authorities.
