Tulum, Mexico — The Parrillero Tulum Fest 2025 was a significant success, with more than 2,000 people enjoying rich grilled dishes from 26 stands, which were comprised of local restaurants, hotels, and chefs, on its first day.

This event is part of the municipal government’s strategies, led by Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo, to boost the local economy while offering other tourist experiences to visitors, highlighting the gastronomic richness of this municipality.

During the official ceremony, the General Director of Economy, Melitón González, reported that both participation and attendance exceeded expectations. “Thanks to all the participants for their confidence; once again, we have proven that it is the joint work between the government and the private sector that will allow us to obtain better results,” he stated.

He added that this will be the first of more editions, coupled with continued efforts to generate more events and activities that stimulate commerce for all sectors, for the enjoyment of both inhabitants and tourists.

For her part, Haydee Hernández Pastrana, Director of Tourism Promotion, mentioned that this event was conceived as a way to commemorate World Tourism Day. “The best way to celebrate tourism is by promoting activities that encourage the arrival of more visitors, which will be reflected in the economic activation of our population,” she said.
