Riviera Maya, Mexico — In alignment with the celebration of World Tourism Day, which carries the theme "Tourism and Sustainable Transformation" this year, Grupo Piñero has carried out various actions in favor of people and the planet.
In the educational sphere, the company has promoted the delivery of school supplies. Within the framework of World Tourism Day, Grupo Piñero reaffirms its commitment in Mexico to education and the development of local talent, strengthening ties with academic institutions such as CECyTE.
As part of this action, a donation was made intended to enrich the training for the Hospitality (A&B) program, with the delivery of slow-moving plaque, tables, chairs, and tableware, as well as for the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program, with low-pressure equipment, evaporators, condensers, tools, mini-splits, and refrigerants. This initiative reflects the Group's commitment to promoting the practical training of students and preparing them for a more solid professional future in the tourism sector.
Likewise, in the Dominican Republic, the actions have also had a strong cultural and community component, with the improvement of infrastructure in rural areas and the restoration of the Church of Los Cacaos, as part of the commitment to the conservation of local cultural heritage.
In Spain, through collaboration with the Fundación Don Bosco in Tenerife, an initiative aimed at young people at risk of social and labor exclusion has been carried out, offering them the opportunity to learn firsthand about the operation of tourism companies, as well as the different professional profiles that make up the sector.
On the environmental front, Grupo Piñero has launched a reforestation program in Mallorca, with the participation of volunteers and local entities, and has supported the celebration of a solidarity race aimed at raising funds for the fight against chronic respiratory diseases.
Through these actions, the company reaffirms its commitment to a form of tourism that promotes inclusion, cares for the environment, and contributes to the well-being of local communities.
