Madrid, Spain — Two Mexican gastronomic festivals were presented at the Embassy of Mexico in Spain as part of an international effort to promote and encourage Mexican cuisine. The first will be the Parrilleros del Caribe Festival, scheduled for October 24 and 25 in Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo. The second is the "Sabor a México" (Flavor of Mexico) Festival, set for November 22 and 23 in Paris, France.

The launch event took place in Madrid at the Embassy of Mexico in Spain, with an audience of more than 50 people, including representatives from the media, restaurateurs, importers of Mexican products, and tourism professionals.

Nicolás Jiménez Roldan, president of the Paris/Mexico association and organizer of the "Sabor a México" Festival, announced that this year, ten Mexican chefs will travel from Mexico to the City of Light to promote the rich and delicious gastronomy of Mexico. Among them is the Ambassador of Pre-Hispanic cuisine, Jorge Orozco, alongside Mexican chefs residing in Paris and other European countries.

Jiménez Roldan recalled that during the first edition of the Sabor a México Festival held last year, two thousand people sampled Mexican food in Paris. He now expects the number of visitors to double.

Three of the chefs who will participate in the Sabor a México Festival were present at the meeting in the Spanish capital: chefs David Sánchez and Arianna Morales from Puerto Morelos, and chef Juana Luna from Casa México in Madrid. The latter chef's initiative led to the organization of this launch event.

The presentation concluded with a tasting of some of the dishes and beverages that will be featured at the Sabor a México Festival.
