According to officials, the events unfolded at approximately 7:39 p.m. on May 19, when the bus driver, allegedly distracted, crashed into a legally parked car. Rather than stopping to take responsibility, the driver attempted to flee, prompting a police pursuit.

Witnesses alerted authorities, who quickly arrived at the scene and initiated a chase. During the escape attempt, the bus struck a traffic officer traveling on a motorcycle, leaving the injured officer on the pavement.
