Tulum, Quintana Roo — The municipal government, led by Mayor Diego Castañón, successfully celebrated the first Pizza & Pasta Fest 2025, a gastronomic event that brought together more than four thousand attendees in the plaza of the Palacio Municipal.

Amid music, laughter, and the unmistakable aroma of freshly baked pizza, the taste of Italy blended with the essence of the Mexican Caribbean in an event that captivated all the senses. Local and international chefs, innovative culinary proposals, live music, and a family-friendly atmosphere made this first event an authentic festival of flavors, aromas, and joy, featuring tastings, circus performances, folkloric ballet, and workshops.

Over two days, families, tourists, and entrepreneurs enjoyed a unique culinary experience, with the participation of 25 local exhibitors who offered artisanal pizzas, fresh pastas, Italian desserts, and traditional beverages. The estimated economic spillover was more than 500 thousand pesos, directly benefiting the restaurant and entrepreneurial sector.

The mayor emphasized that this is how the social fabric is strengthened and gastronomic tourism is promoted. "We want Tulum to be recognized for its culinary diversity, in addition to its natural beauty. This festival is a sample of what we can achieve," expressed Castañón Trejo.
