Tulum, Quintana Roo — Tulum residents have four days left to pay their 2026 property taxes with a 15% discount, the municipal government announced. The promotion applies only to payments made in full between February 1 and 28, 2026, for property owners without outstanding debts or penalties related to this tax.

The local administration said the discount is part of efforts to encourage timely tax payments. Property taxes generate revenue for local government projects and public area improvements.

Who Qualifies for 50% Discount?

Separately, the government maintains a special 50% discount for taxpayers who can demonstrate they belong to specific groups:

  • Affiliates of the National Institute for Older Adults (INAPAM)
  • Affiliates of the National Institute for the Elderly
  • Tulum municipal employees
  • Quintana Roo state employees
  • Teachers, custodial staff, and administrative personnel in Quintana Roo’s educational service and federal government

To qualify for the 50% discount, taxpayers must pay the tax in full and provide documentation proving their special status. This discount is available until March 31, 2026. Property owners without proper property identification documents cannot process the payment with either discount.
