Tulum, Quintana Roo — The Government of Tulum, led by Municipal President Diego Castañón Trejo, has announced the establishment of a new public beach access point as part of its actions to guarantee the right of citizens and tourists to freely and safely enjoy the coastal zone.
The mayor himself visited the site accompanied by directors and staff from the departments of Cadastre, ZOFEMAT (Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone), and Fiscalization to assess the conditions of the area and issue instructions for it to be prepared promptly. The access point will include the necessary services to provide comfort and security for visitors, both local and foreign.
The Director of Cadastre, Raziel Ek Cruz, explained that this new access corresponds to an area identified in the Municipal Development Plan as a zone for public use.
"We have begun cleanup actions and it will soon be open with all the necessary conditions," he stated.
According to the announcement, the beach will feature spaces for bicycles, motorcycle parking, trash cans, cleaning personnel, and the presence of Civil Protection with lifeguards, with the objective of guaranteeing a safe stay for families.
It is estimated that within an approximate period of three weeks the access point will be ready and open to the public. With this, the municipal administration reaffirms its commitment to defending the constitutional right of Mexican people to free access to beaches, providing tangible facts and results for the benefit of the population and tourism.
