Tulum, Quintana Roo — More than 1,000 people attended Tulum’s first public real estate fair over two days, an event that officials say sets a new standard for professionalism, transparency, and legal certainty in the sector.
The fair took place at the Tulum Municipal Plaza and featured participation from authorities across all three levels of government, led by Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo. Representatives from public institutions, business organizations, licensed developers, and real estate advisors also attended.
The event drew citizens, investors, and industry professionals interested in investment options backed by certified promoters and schemes that guarantee legal security. Present institutions included the Quintana Roo Secretariat of Sustainable Territorial and Urban Development (SEDETUS), the Quintana Roo State Government, and the Quintana Roo delegation of Infonavit, Mexico’s housing fund.
The Tulum City Council participated through its Economic Development and Cadastre departments, emphasizing the importance of providing official information and institutional support to those seeking to acquire or develop property in the municipality.
Certified developers and advisors presented legally-backed projects. The Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) attended through its Regional Coordination 20 and sections from Cozumel, Bacalar, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum, reinforcing that certification and ongoing training are pillars for orderly sector growth.
The fair also included real estate developers, banking institutions, public notaries, law firms specializing in real estate, service providers, and the restaurant industry, which set up various stalls in the event dome. The automotive industry participated with Chevrolet, expanding the commercial and service offerings.
With this fair, Tulum positions itself as an attractive destination for real estate investment with institutional backing and promotion of responsible practices. The participation of licensed advisors and regulatory bodies sends a clear message about the importance of operating under legal and transparent frameworks.
Municipal authorities reiterated that the goal is to strengthen sustainable, orderly urban development with social responsibility in a city experiencing constant growth and high demand for housing and investment.
