Resounding Success of the National Magic Towns Fair
ASETUR presented the results of the seventh National Magic Towns Fair, an event that recorded high attendance, significant economic spillover, and advances in the tourism agenda leading up to 2026.
As part of a virtual press conference by the Association of Tourism Secretaries of Mexico (ASETUR) led by Bernardo Cueto Riestra, the Secretary of Tourism of Hidalgo, Elizabeth Quintanar Gómez, detailed the results of the seventh edition of the National Magic Towns Fair, held in Pachuca from November 14 to 16, which recorded an attendance of 62,745 people and an economic spillover of 67,605,000 pesos.
She commented that 12,130 business meetings were held, which alone from completed operations generated 26,468,758 pesos.
Tourism authorities presented the results of the 2025 National Magic Towns Fair. She said the economic spillover generated in Pachuca during those days was 24,362,345 pesos, while the fairground where the Fair took place reached a figure of 16,775,000 pesos.
During the virtual press conference, the president of ASETUR highlighted the actions undertaken this year under the work axes of the Board of Directors through the Promotion, Competitiveness, Connectivity, Sustainability, and Tourist Protection Commissions.
ASETUR highlighted the economic spillover and business meetings generated during the event. He said that for 2026, 9 Assemblies have already been scheduled in various states of the country, including Quintana Roo, Puebla, Michoacán, Chiapas, Durango, Veracruz, Sinaloa, Campeche, and Guerrero.
“The objective of ASETUR is to make tourism a priority for Mexico, and based on these actions, it is being achieved, as this sector is increasingly relevant in the national agenda and public opinion. 2026 will be fundamental; we must take advantage of the opportunity that hosting the FIFA World Cup will give us, among other actions, which with the united work we are carrying out will strengthen Mexico as an international tourism reference,” he concluded.
