Cancun, Quintana Roo — The 12th edition of Rally Maya Mexico will run from February 27 to March 7, 2026, marking the longest route in the competition’s history with a total distance of 1,426 kilometers across five stages. For the first time, the event will start in Palenque, Chiapas, integrating the state into the itinerary.

Rally President Rodrigo Villanueva said this edition will set a precedent by expanding its route and strengthening the projection of the Maya World as a cultural, tourist, and sports corridor. The competition will conclude in Cancun, cementing the Mexican Caribbean as the host of the international event’s finale.

The route includes iconic sites such as the archaeological zones of Palenque, Calakmul, and Chichen Itza, blending historic motorsport with cultural and tourist promotion of the Maya World. Organizers expect about 90 national and international crews to participate in this regularity rally, where precision in timing and speed is key.

Competition Stages

The official route includes stops in Palenque, Calakmul, Champoton, Campeche, Acanceh, Homun, Chichen Itza, Cancun, and Puerto Morelos, before finishing again in Cancun.

Beyond the sporting component, Rally Maya Mexico maintains its social mission by supporting foundations that work with vulnerable children, as well as food donation drives and community activities in towns along the route. The event not only promotes tourism and culture but also reinforces its social commitment in southeastern Mexico.
