Playa del Carmen, Mexico — A total of 117 teams, approximately 20 more than last year, are set to participate in the ninth edition of the Club Jaguar International Beach Volleyball Festival 2025. The event is scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 2 in front of the Portal Maya.
Mauricio Rosales Barbosa, president of the Club Jaguar, announced during the festival's presentation that among the participating teams will be representatives from the United States, including teams from Boston, Miami, California, and Hawaii, among others. The event will also feature teams from across Mexico, such as Aguascalientes, Puebla, Veracruz, Querétaro, Pachuca, Baja California, the State of Mexico, and, of course, the host state of Quintana Roo.
Rosales Barbosa, who also serves as the president of the Beach Volleyball Commission for the state of Quintana Roo, highlighted the collaboration of a sports promoter from Switzerland who consistently supports the tournament.
"It is very important that people from outside help, but we also want to involve our authorities. Join this project, in collaboration and support for this great international event," he said.
The competition will commence with matches in the mixed category (one male and one female), which has 20 teams registered. Subsequently, the teams in the men's and women's open divisions will begin play, with a total of 16 teams in each division.
He specified that the 40-and-over category has 16 teams registered, with 12 in the 32-and-over category. There are six teams registered in the 50-and-over men's category and four in the 60-and-over men's category. In the women's 50-and-over and 60-and-over categories, another 12 teams will be participating.
