Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Following the arrest of Leonel “N,” the alleged perpetrator of a robbery targeting content creator “Soy Tribu,” his mother—a public servant in Quintana Roo—issued a firm statement declaring that her son must face the legal consequences of his actions.

Arrest and Allegations

Leonel, 30, was detained by security forces in Playa del Carmen’s Centro neighborhood. Initially taken into custody for disobedience and resisting authorities, investigators later identified him as the primary suspect in the robbery case involving the popular influencer.

Mother’s Public Statement

In an official communication, the detained man’s mother acknowledged facing public scrutiny due to her familial ties but emphasized that her position as a government employee would not influence the ongoing investigation by the Quintana Roo Attorney General’s Office.

“From the moment I learned my son was accused of a crime, I acted in accordance with the law. I located him and personally turned him over to the authorities,” she stated.

While expressing personal anguish over the situation, she reiterated her belief in impartial justice and her son’s accountability.

The Attorney General’s Office continues to gather evidence to determine Leonel’s legal status. He remains in custody pending further investigation.
