Mexico City — Mexico’s Tourism Ministry, in coordination with the Digital Transformation and Telecommunications Agency (ATDT), has launched a new digital platform designed to streamline business procedures for the tourism sector nationwide.

The Tourism Procedures Window platform, which became operational on March 30, 2026, allows tourism businesses to complete registration, operation, and regulatory processes entirely online without visiting government offices.

The free platform consolidates multiple procedures into a single portal, using the government’s official Llave MX authentication system to verify user identities and provide secure access. Users can track their applications in real time and receive both virtual and in-person support.

Currently, the platform focuses on services related to the National Tourism Registry (RNT), a mandatory database that tracks tourism operators across the country. More than 27,000 service providers are already registered in the RNT, which requires renewal every two years.

Available procedures include initial RNT registration and business closure notifications, both offered at no cost with faster response times than traditional methods.

The platform serves individuals and businesses across all 32 Mexican states, including hotels, travel agencies, tour operators, transportation services, and guides.

Officials plan to gradually expand the platform’s capabilities to include hotel classification systems and the National Tourism Quality Distinction program.

The Tourism Ministry says the digital tool represents an effort to modernize public administration and reduce bureaucratic hurdles in a sector that plays a crucial role in Mexico’s economy.
