TULUM, Quintana Roo — Elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) arrested Rudy Alejandro N for his alleged involvement in crimes against health after observing him handling bags with apparent marijuana during a surveillance operation in the town of Akumal in Tulum.
The incident occurred on Gonzalo Guerrero Avenue, between Punta Maroma and Punta Brava streets, in the municipality of Tulum. During crime prevention patrols, personnel from the Centurion Group spotted a male individual handling suspicious substances.
After conducting the corresponding inspection, authorities confiscated 58 plastic bags containing green, dry vegetable matter similar to marijuana, as well as 18 bags with solid, crystalline fragments resembling the drug known as crystal meth. Additionally, they secured a fanny pack and a cell phone.
Both the detainee and the secured evidence were placed at the disposal of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Drug Trafficking to continue with the relevant investigations.
