Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde conducted an inspection tour of the Isla Mujeres Animal Welfare Center, where she announced the upcoming construction of a Pet Park, a new facility aimed at enhancing the well-being of dogs and cats under the center’s care.
During her visit, the mayor reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to fostering a more humane and compassionate Isla Mujeres, where animal welfare remains a priority. She emphasized that the Animal Welfare Center will not only serve as a dignified space for the shelter and care of abandoned dogs and cats but also as a hub to promote adoption, responsible sterilization, and respect for animals.
