Isla Mujeres — The tourist destination of Isla Mujeres continues to stand out as one of the most attractive points for national and international visitors, maintaining hotel occupancy above the state average and a constant arrival of tourists who enjoy its natural beauty, hospitality, and tourist offerings.
Municipal President Atenea Gómez Ricalde emphasized that this result is the product of coordinated work between the different tourist, hotel, and service provider sectors, as well as the permanent promotion of the destination as a clean, orderly, and safe place with a wide variety of activities.
"Isla Mujeres continues to shine as one of Mexico's favorite destinations. Our Magical Town is consolidating itself as a space of tranquility, beauty, and good service, which attracts more visitors every day," the mayor underscored.
The constant flow of tourists represents an important boost for the local economy, generating jobs and dynamism throughout the tourist value chain. With its unique combination of spectacular beaches, gastronomy, history, and culture, Isla Mujeres continues to position itself as a tourist reference in Quintana Roo.
Love Isla Mujeres Program Announced
With a commitment to increase tourism with shared prosperity in the Destination, the Municipal Government headed by Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde continues to combine efforts and is working on a new program called "Love Isla Mujeres" to promote tourism from within Quintana Roo.
"This program contemplates a campaign of discounts and promotions directed exclusively to the people of Quintana Roo, with the goal that during low seasons like the current one, we can continue incentivizing the local economy for the benefit of Isleño families," highlighted the General Director of Tourism and Economic Development, Hernán Magaña Vargas.
The municipal official added that they seek to diversify the market and have more options for the low seasons, promoting the unparalleled beauty, culture, tradition, and history of the Magical Town of Isla Mujeres among the people of Quintana Roo.
