CANCÚN, QRoo — A low-pressure channel over the western Gulf of Mexico, interacting with cloudiness from a monsoonal trough and the approach of another tropical wave to the peninsula, is expected to cause showers and heavy rains in the states of Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo.

Simultaneously, the approach of Tropical Wave number 37 and moisture from the Caribbean Sea will maintain partially cloudy skies over Quintana Roo, with intervals of showers and heavy rains accompanied by electrical activity. The environment will remain very hot with wind gusts of up to 50 kilometers per hour, particularly in the state's coastal zones, as well as fog banks on highway stretches.

The National Water Commission (Conagua) reports that showers and heavy rains with electrical discharges are forecast. It suggests taking due precautions and, in the event of any risk or emergency situation, calling 911, in addition to staying informed through official media.

Cancún

There will be partly cloudy skies, intervals of showers with heavy rains accompanied by electrical activity, and north and northeast winds of 15 to 25 kilometers per hour. The environment will continue to be very hot, with a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, a minimum of 26, and a thermal sensation of 37, according to the General Directorate of Civil Protection of Benito Juárez.

Isla Mujeres

The sky will remain partially cloudy, with intervals of showers and heavy rains accompanied by electrical activity and north and northeast winds of 15 to 25 kilometers per hour. The environment will be very hot, with a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, a minimum of 26, and a thermal sensation of 37, in accordance with the Municipal Coordination of Civil Protection and Firefighters.

Playa del Carmen

Partly cloudy skies, intervals of showers with heavy rains accompanied by electrical activity and north and northeast winds of 15 to 25 kilometers per hour. The climate will remain very hot, with a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, a minimum of 24, and a thermal sensation of 37, according to the Secretary of Civil Protection, Risk Prevention, and Firefighters.

Tulum

Partly cloudy skies are forecast, with intervals of showers and heavy rains accompanied by electrical activity and north and northeast winds of 15 to 25 kilometers per hour; however, the climate will remain muggy, with a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius, a minimum of 23, and a thermal sensation of 36, according to the General Directorate of Civil Protection and Firefighters.
