Free Health Caravans in Quintana Roo This Week

Quintana Roo, Mexico — The mobile health caravans in Quintana Roo persist in their mission to provide free medical services to communities across the state, reinforcing the government’s commitment to public well-being.

Locations of This Week’s Health Caravans

Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa announced via social media the schedule for the health caravans from June 9 to June 13, which will visit the following locations:

  • Nuevo Jerusalén
  • Guadalupe Victoria, Bacalar
  • Chan Santa Cruz, Felipe Carrillo Puerto
  • Cozumel

“We invite all nearby communities to take advantage of free medical services, including general consultations, X-rays, clinical tests, medications, and more,” Lezama stated. She added, “We remain #UnitedToTransform healthcare in every corner of Quintana Roo.”

Available Medical Services

The health caravans operate with fully equipped mobile units, delivering quality care to underserved populations. Free services include:

  • General medical consultations
  • Clinical laboratory tests
  • X-rays
  • Electrocardiograms
  • Mammograms
  • Prostate antigen testing
  • Ultrasounds
  • Bone density scans
  • Dental care
  • Vision and hearing services
  • Psychological support
  • Nutritional guidance
  • Medication distribution
  • Ambulance services

Since its launch on April 12, 2023, in Chumpón, Felipe Carrillo Puerto, the Salud para Tod@s (Health for All) program has provided over 500,000 free medical services, benefiting more than 108,000 residents statewide.

Health Secretary Flavio Carlos Rosado has repeatedly urged residents to utilize these services, regardless of whether they have social security coverage.

The initiative underscores the government’s ongoing efforts to expand healthcare access and improve quality of life for Quintana Roo’s population.
