15 Face Charges for Domestic Violence, Child Support

Cancún, Quintana Roo — The State Attorney General's Office has secured court orders to proceed with legal cases against 15 individuals for their alleged involvement in the crimes of domestic violence and failure to meet child support obligations.

In an initial action, Hamer Armando “N” was charged with domestic violence against his partner. The charges stem from incidents where he physically and verbally assaulted the victim at a residence located in Supermanzana 235 of Cancún.

Similarly, in the same city, José René “N”, Eliezer de Jesús “N”, José de Jesús “N”, and Diego “N” were also linked to proceedings for domestic violence. The first was charged for offenses against his intimate partner, while the others were charged for offenses against their former partners, whom they allegedly verbally assaulted.

In the municipality of Othón P. Blanco, Johan Fernando “N”, Víctor Hugo “N”, and Darwin Manolo “N” received court orders to face proceedings for domestic violence. The first two were charged for offenses against their former partners, whom they allegedly physically and verbally assaulted. The last individual was charged for offenses affecting his current partner.

In a separate action in Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Luis Pablo “N”, Evelio “N”, and Gualberto “N” were charged with domestic violence. The first two were charged for offenses against their intimate partners, and the last was charged against his former partner, whom he allegedly assaulted physically, sexually, and psychologically.

In the same municipality, Isidro “N” and José Margarito “N” received court orders to face proceedings for failure to meet child support obligations, to the detriment of their minor children. The first has been omissive in providing the corresponding support payments since October 2021 to the present date, while the second owes a total of 112,800 pesos.

Meanwhile, Elmar “N” was processed for domestic violence in Playa del Carmen. The events occurred at a residence in the private neighborhood Los Faisanes, where he allegedly physically and verbally assaulted the victim.

In a separate case, Celso Rubén “N” was charged with domestic violence in Cozumel for incidents occurring in April 2022, when he allegedly attempted to run over the victim with a motorcycle. The victim managed to avoid him and further reported that the now accused had physically and verbally assaulted her on various other occasions.

The accused individuals Hamer Armando “N”, Diego “N”, and Gualberto “N” were placed under the precautionary measure of justified preventive prison for the duration of the judicial process.
