Cancún to Host International Show ‘Titizé’ Fusing Dance, Theater, and Acrobatics

Cancún, Quintana Roo — Cancún will become the first city in Mexico to host the international show “Titizé,” a production that blends dance, theater, and acrobatics, with performances scheduled from April 23 to May 3 at the Teatro de la Ciudad.

The Cancún Institute of Culture and Arts announced the arrival of “Titizé,” a European-origin show that has generated significant anticipation due to its innovative artistic proposal and global recognition.

The work is presented by Compagnia Finzi Pasca, founded by Swiss director Daniele Finzi Pasca, known for his involvement in large-scale productions such as Cirque du Soleil shows and Olympic ceremonies. “Titizé” combines physical theater, dance, live music, and elements of illusionism, creating a high-level stage experience rarely seen in Mexico.

Following its resounding success at the Teatro Olímpico in Rome, where it sold over five thousand tickets in five performances, the production solidifies itself in 2026 as one of the most prominent offerings on the international circuit. The work pays poetic homage to Venice, exploring its relationship with water and the human condition through a visual and sensory narrative.

Titizé in Cancún

According to official information, Cancún will be the first stop in Mexico, marking Finzi Pasca’s return to the Yucatan Peninsula, where he has previously achieved significant successes.

Subsequently, the tour will continue in Zapopan, Jalisco, from May 21 to 24, with performances scheduled at the university arts complex. Expectations are high, as the show has captivated thousands of spectators in Europe and Latin America.

“Titizé” promises an immersive experience, featuring acrobats on stage, surreal atmospheres, and an aesthetic inspired by commedia dell’arte.
