CANCÚN — Flavor, culture, and sport will converge in a single space with the arrival of the first Cancún Master Grill, scheduled for October 25 and 26 at the Andrés Quintana Roo Stadium, home of the Cancún FC soccer club.
The gastronomic event, which will offer free admission, will bring together 26 food stands, renowned chefs—including some with Michelin mentions—universities, and local producers. Its objective is to boost gastronomic tourism and the local economy, in collaboration with the Benito Juárez Municipal Government and the Municipal Secretary of Tourism.
“We want the stadium to be much more than just soccer; a meeting point for the community, where art, culture, food, and entertainment converge,” said Giovanni Solazzi, vice president and general director of Cancún FC. He emphasized that the team seeks to strengthen its bond with the city and its fans.
During the event, grilling classes, barbecue contests, live recipe demonstrations, and tastings of dishes at accessible prices will be offered, with portions not exceeding 200 pesos. Additionally, attendees will be able to enjoy the soccer match between Cancún FC and Correcaminos, scheduled for Saturday the 25th at 8:00 p.m.
The event will feature the participation of local business owners, civil associations, the municipal DIF (Integral Family Development) system, and the Universidad del Caribe. The university is joining with more than 30 students in gastronomic internships and seeks to establish itself as a reference in the region by promoting the Quintana Roo culinary identity, local consumption, and community pride.
