Cancún — The tourist destination of Cancún reported a hotel occupancy rate of 66 percent in its hotel zone this weekend, according to the latest report from the Cancún, Puerto Morelos, and Isla Mujeres Hotel Association (AHCPMIM).
Isla Mujeres Reached 70.4% Occupancy
The report, with data through October 15, 2025, indicates that the accumulated occupancy for the month remains at 65.4 percent, slightly above the 63.4 percent registered in the same period last year. Meanwhile, Cancún Centro reached 65.1 percent, and Isla Mujeres positioned itself as the destination with the best performance at 70.4 percent occupancy, followed by Puerto Morelos at 55.5 percent.
In total, more than 51,700 visitors stayed in Cancún's hotel zone, while the available room inventory amounts to 33,213 units, of which 2,835 remain closed for remodeling.
The AIC Reported 460 Operations This Saturday
In parallel, the Cancún International Airport reported a total of 460 scheduled operations for Saturday, October 18, reflecting the sustained tourist dynamism of the destination. The breakdown includes 229 arrivals—80 domestic and 149 international—and 231 departures, also with 80 domestic and 151 international flights.
International Routes Stand Out
Airlines with notable activity include American Airlines, Aeroméxico, Delta, United, Air France, Turkish Airlines, Viva Aerobús, and Volaris, alongside connections with destinations in the Americas, Europe, and the Caribbean such as Madrid, Paris, London, New York, Bogotá, Lima, Buenos Aires, Toronto, and Istanbul.
These numbers confirm that Cancún maintains a solid tourist influx in the lead-up to the high winter season, driven by both the domestic market and the recovery of international routes.
