Body Found Wrapped in Sheets in Tulum

Tulum, Mexico — Local authorities responded to a report of a deceased person found on a dirt road located off Kukulcán Avenue, in the direction of Aldea Zama. The body was bound and wrapped in colored sheets, according to police personnel.

A preliminary report indicates that around 7:45 a.m., a citizen alerted the emergency number after observing what appeared to be a covered corpse. The informant mentioned that there were construction workers in the vicinity but did not offer further details before ending the call.

Personnel from State Unit 12356 arrived at the location as first responders and corroborated the discovery. Medical personnel from Unit 006 confirmed it was a man with no vital signs. At first glance, the body did not present evident external injuries.

The area was cordoned off to allow for the work of forensic experts and agents from the State Attorney General's Office, who initiated the corresponding procedures to clarify the events. Among the first actions is the identification of the victim and the determination of the cause of death.

At this time, no individuals have been arrested in connection with this incident, nor have any clues that could help clarify what occurred been revealed. The investigative authorities are maintaining several open lines of inquiry.
