Cancún Tragedy: Two Missing Youths Found Dead

Cancún, Mexico — Two young men from Cancún who had been reported missing have been found dead, according to authorities. One of the individuals was a minor. Their respective search records have subsequently been deactivated.

The Attorney General's Office of the State of Quintana Roo (FGEQuintanaRoo) announced the deactivation of the search records for Gabriel Alejandro García and Carlos Daniel Reyes Santiago, confirming they had been located.

Details on the Deceased

The search record for Gabriel Alejandro García has been deactivated. He was last seen on October 27, 2025, in Cancún, in the municipality of Benito Juárez, Quintana Roo.

García was a 22-year-old Mexican national with a light complexion, a thin build, medium-length black curly hair, dark brown almond-shaped eyes, a height of 1.62 meters, and a weight of 45 kilograms.

Notable distinguishing marks included a skull tattoo on his right forearm, an owl tattoo on the back of his hand, and a mole in the shape of a bat on his hip. There was no information available regarding the clothing he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.

The search record for Carlos Daniel Reyes Santiago has also been deactivated. He was last seen on October 27, 2025, in Cancún, in the municipality of Benito Juárez, Quintana Roo.

Reyes Santiago was a 17-year-old Mexican minor with a dark complexion, a thin build, short straight black hair, black eyes, a height of 1.70 meters, and a weight of approximately 50 kilograms.

He was identified as having a scar on the left side of his forehead, as well as two mole-like marks on the right side of his waist. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black t-shirt with yellow letters on the front, beige pants with elastic at the ankles, and white sandals.

A Third Recent Case in the Region

The cases of these two young men from Cancún follow the recent discovery of another youth from Playa del Carmen who was also found dead. This brings the total to two minors and one 22-year-old man whose remains have been identified this week.

The remains of the young man Walther Emiliano Guzmán Demeza were identified. He was last seen on October 29, 2025, in the municipality of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo.

He was a 16-year-old Mexican minor with a light complexion, a thin build, short straight black hair, black eyes, a height of 1.60 meters, and a weight of approximately 50 kilograms.

It was also noted that he had a skull tattoo on his cheek. On the day of his disappearance, he was wearing a black t-shirt with a logo of Saint Jude Thaddeus, black pants with side pockets, and flip-flops.
