Bacalar, Quintana Roo — A bee swarm attack near the lagoon area prompted a large-scale emergency response on Thursday, leaving 13 people injured and requiring medical attention.
Emergency services, including paramedics and rescue teams, rushed to the scene after reports of multiple people suffering from bee stings. The injured individuals exhibited various allergic reactions and were transported to a local clinic for evaluation.
Multiple agencies coordinated the response effort, with authorities from local, state, and federal levels quickly mobilizing to address the situation. Firefighters intervened to control the swarm and prevent further risks, successfully containing the emergency in the area.
The injured continued to receive medical care at an IMSS (Mexican Social Security Institute) Bienestar facility, where volunteers joined the effort to assist due to the number of people affected.
