Tulum, Mexico – On the afternoon of Saturday, December 13, an armed robbery was reported at the ICHT residential development, where three individuals violently broke in with the intention of seizing the weekly payroll intended for worker payments.
When they did not find the person responsible for safeguarding the money, the assailants stripped several workers of their belongings. During the robbery, one of the workers was struck with the butt of a firearm, causing injuries.
Following a report to the emergency number 911, Municipal Police officers implemented a search operation that led to the arrest of two suspected perpetrators in a nearby jungle area, while a third accomplice managed to flee. Various stolen items were recovered at the scene.
The injured worker received attention from paramedics and is reported to be out of danger.
The victims went to the State Attorney General’s Office to file the corresponding complaints, while authorities continue with investigations to locate the third individual involved.
