JOSÉ MARÍA MORELOS, MX — A simulated drill involving firearm detonations was implemented at the “Manuel Acuña” Kindergarten, located in the Javier Rojo Gómez neighborhood of José María Morelos. The drill was conducted at the request of the school’s principal, Miriam Aicela Pérez Peralta, with the objective of preparing teaching staff and students for a potential risk situation related to armed violence.
During the drill, police officers offered an informative talk on the security protocols that must be followed in case of an emergency of this type, focusing on the protection of the minors. Subsequently, a controlled simulation of an event with detonations was carried out, with the participation of teachers, students, and support staff.
The activity concluded with the established guidelines having been fulfilled, as set by the security elements. The authorities highlighted the importance of these preventive actions to foster a culture of self-protection in school facilities.
