Join Aguakan’s 17th Water Rally on Isla Mujeres

Isla Mujeres — Aguakan has announced the 17th edition of its flagship Water Rally event, aimed at youth, which this year will be named the "Rally of the Famous," with the purpose of promoting learning about water and environmental care in a fun, dynamic, and healthy manner.

The 2025 Water Rally will be held on Friday, November 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on Isla Mujeres. During the event, participants will test their physical and mental skills through recreational activities and challenges that foster environmental awareness and the responsible use of water resources.

On this occasion, more than 100 youths from the municipalities of Benito Juárez, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, and Isla Mujeres will participate in the competition. The teams will be comprised of youths aged 16 and older, each accompanied by an adult. The three teams with the best performance will be recognized for their effort, teamwork, and environmental commitment.

"We are now in our 17th year of this event, a fundamental pillar of our Corporate Social Responsibility program, focused primarily on environmental education. Working with young people in activities like the Rally allows us to generate a direct impact, in the medium and long term, on those who will be the decision-makers of tomorrow," said Alejandra Mayorga Rodríguez, Community Relations Coordinator for Aguakan.

For this edition, Aguakan has the valuable collaboration of partners such as the Municipality of Isla Mujeres, the Youth Directorate, Ultramar, GETECCA, the MIA Foundation, and Megamedia, who are joining this collective effort to raise awareness and promote actions in favor of the environment.

The Water Rally is a solid example of Aguakan's commitment to the community and the environment. Throughout its 17-year history, this event has succeeded in sensitizing thousands of young people about the importance of caring for water and preserving natural resources, in congruence with the company's mission and values.
