Cancún, Mexico — A group of wine lovers had the opportunity to enjoy an exceptional gastronomic experience, designed by ART WINE CLUB under the creative direction of Sandra Copca. This event not only explored a passion for wine but also combined high Italian cuisine with renowned wine selections.
Sommelier Eduardo Arochi, who represented OLI WINE and ART WINE CLUB, carried out a meticulous coordination of the menu presented at the Trattoria Limoncello restaurant, under the direction of Pilar Vidal. This synergy allowed attendees to be offered a sensory journey through five culinary courses, each accompanied by wines selected to enhance the flavors of every dish.
The banquet began with a delicate salmon carpaccio, paired with the white wine Le Sauvignon 2022 from the Henri Lurton Winery. This wine, with 13% alcohol, provided freshness and balanced acidity, perfectly complementing the smoothness of the salmon. As an alternative, diners could opt for a red wine, Coastal Pinot Noir, 100% Lodi Clarksburg from California, with an alcohol content of 13.5%.
The second course offered an arugula, pear, and parmesan salad, ideally accompanied by the fresh Le Chenin 2022 from the same winery. This white wine, with 13% alcohol, enhanced the subtle flavors of the salad, while the rosé wine LA ROSA Garnacha 2022, from DOCA Rioja, added a vibrant and fruity touch to the dish.
For the third course, attendees enjoyed agnolotti de gamberi, surprised by the selection of the red wine LE NEBBIOLO 2023 from the Henri Lurton Winery. This wine, with 14% alcohol, highlighted the richness of the seafood, and diners also had the option to choose a tempranillo crianza 2021 from DOCA Rioja.
The fourth course presented a tagliata di manzo, accompanied by an ensemble of reds that included Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tannat, and Syrah, with 13.5% alcohol, along with another blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Merlot from the Valle de Santo Tomás, which invited discovery in every flavor.
Finally, the event culminated with an exquisite coffee chocolate fondant, providing a golden close to an experience that celebrated not only gastronomy but also wine culture, leaving the attendees wanting more.
Undoubtedly, this ART WINE CLUB event was a brilliant display of how culinary art and oenology can intertwine to create memorable moments.
