Playa del Carmen, Mexico — Fernando Muñoz Calero, coordinator and councilman for the Green Party, led a reforestation initiative in the Villas del Sol neighborhood, emphasizing the critical role of environmental education for children. The event, which also featured councilwoman Anaiza Quian, involved the participation of children, youth, and adults from the local community.
The activity was organized with the objective of fostering environmental awareness and care for the planet. During the event, children not only assisted in the planting of trees but also received educational talks about the importance of preserving the environment.
Fernando Muñoz stated that these reforestation efforts are a way to teach children about the importance of caring for the planet and the environment. He highlighted the relevance of involving new generations in actions that promote sustainability and respect for nature.
"Children who learn to care for the planet will be the adults who protect it," Muñoz said.
In addition to the planting and educational components, biodegradable pots, seeds, and plants were distributed to participants so they could continue environmental work in their own homes and communities, thereby multiplying the impact of the Green Party's initiative.
Through this event, Fernando Muñoz reiterated his commitment to environmental protection and invited the public to join future reforestation and ecological education initiatives.
