Cancún, Mexico — The Quintana Roo State Attorney General's Office (FGE) has secured a court order to proceed with the prosecution of Raúl Alberto "N" for his alleged involvement in the crimes of deprivation of personal liberty and home robbery, which occurred in the municipality of Benito Juárez.
According to the investigation file, the events were recorded on September 15, 2025, when the accused, along with two accomplices, entered a home located in Supermanzana 314, where a woman was present. The assailants beat her, tied her hands and feet, and demanded the combination to a safe and the passcodes to her cell phones, under threat of death.
After obtaining the information, the criminals stole luxury watches, gold jewelry, vehicle invoices and warranty documents, and also made bank transfers totaling approximately 500,000 pesos from the victim's cell phone.
Subsequently, they fled in a 2023 Audi and a 2021 Toyota truck, both property of the victim, heading towards the state of Yucatán.
As a result of the investigations, Raúl Alberto "N" was located and arrested in Mérida, where ministerial officers served an arrest warrant on him. He was then transferred to Quintana Roo and presented before the judge who required him.
After evaluating the evidence presented by the Specialized Prosecutor's Office Combating Kidnapping and Extortion Crimes, the Control Judge determined that he should be formally charged and imposed the precautionary measure of preventive detention for a period of one year, or for the duration of the judicial proceedings.
