Mérida, Yucatán — Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena presented the flag and offered his best wishes for success to the 56 athletes who will form the team representing Yucatán at the Conade 2025 National Paralympic Games, scheduled from September 22 to October 12.
The athletes will compete in four disciplines: para-athletics, para-swimming, boccia, and para-triathlon. The full delegation consists of 98 people, including the 56 athletes, coaches, medical staff, and accompanying personnel.
The state government has arranged and will cover all flights, accommodation, meals, and transportation for the delegation. This support is described as a commitment to providing the athletes with dignified treatment.
Governor Díaz Mena emphasized the worthy competitive spirit of Yucatán's athletes, noting that the team earned a total of 82 medals and finished in 8th place at the 2024 National Paralympiad. He expressed hope that the team will break that record and continue to demonstrate the caliber of the state's athletes.
