TULUM, Quintana Roo — With the goal of supporting the economy of Tulum families, the municipal government, led by Diego Castañón Trejo, delivered 400 pairs of shoes to an equal number of secondary-level students.
The distribution was carried out in coordination with private initiative and seeks to guarantee that students have the necessary footwear for the return to classes.
"Today is a day of great joy for everyone, because 400 students will have new shoes today. This is our small contribution to support mothers and fathers, because no child in Tulum should be left without an education," Castañón Trejo highlighted during the event.
The municipal president gave special thanks to the company Brantano, which made the donation, and emphasized that these actions are possible thanks to the management of the local government and the confidence it generates for the private sector to join social projects.
The schools that benefited from this delivery were the Zamná No. 15 General Secondary School, the Kinich Ahau No. 42 Technical School, and the Erick Paolo Martínez Telesecundaria in both shifts.
For her part, the municipal Director of Education, Nilvia Lizama, explained that these supports are the result of inter-institutional work and collaboration with the private initiative, which allows the benefits to be multiplied.
The municipal government recalled that 100 pairs of shoes were previously delivered to boys and girls in the Mayan zone and announced that they will continue implementing this type of action to support vulnerable groups in the municipality.
