Cancún Taxi and Maya Ride Crash Injures Two

Cancún, Mexico — A serious traffic accident occurred on Leona Vicario Avenue near Supermanzana 229 on Monday night, resulting in two people injured.

According to initial reports, the incident happened when a private vehicle from the Maya Ride platform, a B-Drive model, was traveling toward Cava Avenue. Upon reaching the intersection with Chichén Itzá Street, it was struck by a taxi from the "Andrés Quintana Roo" union, with unit number 0567, a March model.

Following the collision, two female passengers traveling in the rental unit sustained injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics from the Red Cross, who subsequently transported them to a hospital for a more comprehensive evaluation.

The area remained partially obstructed while Traffic Police officers carried out the corresponding procedures and arranged for the removal of the involved vehicles. Authorities urged motorists to drive with caution, especially on Leona Vicario Avenue, where traffic was affected for several minutes.
