$24M Road Paving Boost for Puerto Aventuras Streets

Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo — As part of the Playa del Carmen Municipal Government’s commitment to improving road infrastructure and citizen welfare, Mayor Estefanía Mercado announced the launch of an ambitious public works program in Puerto Aventuras. The project represents a historic investment of $23,980,818.24 pesos, the largest paving initiative ever undertaken in the area.

Comprehensive Road Rehabilitation Plan

The project includes the rehabilitation of eight key roadways, covering a total of 17,934.97 square meters of 5-centimeter-thick asphalt pavement, designed to enhance urban mobility and ensure long-term durability. Additionally, 4,800 linear meters of road markings will be applied to improve traffic safety in high-traffic zones.

The streets slated for improvement are strategically located across Puerto Aventuras and include:

• Calzada Puerto Maya (multiple sections)
• Avenida Calzada del Sol
• Circuito de las Especies
• Calle Chaca
• Calle Ciricote
• Calle Chicozapote
• Calle Xiat

Direct Benefits for Over 22,000 Residents

The initiative is expected to directly benefit 22,878 residents, improving daily mobility and strengthening community infrastructure.

They can change lives, dignify spaces, and drive the transformation we deserve,” Mayor Mercado stated, emphasizing the social and territorial focus of her administration.
