A tragic incident occurred in Playa del Carmen where a 15-year-old boy took his own life. He was found by his family at their residence on 62nd Street, between 30th and 35th Avenues, in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighbourhood.
Upon discovery, paramedics were immediately called to the scene. However, they were unable to revive him and confirmed the absence of vital signs. The State Attorney’s Office was subsequently notified about the incident.
On arrival, the prosecution team verified the cause of death as suicide. This heartbreaking incident marks the 21st suicide in Playa del Carmen for the year 2024. Out of these, 20 were males, and one was a female.
