The Secretary of Education of Quintana Roo (SEQ) is inviting teachers to join the English Language Teaching Program in Quintana Roo (PEIIQROO). The initiative aims to provide English language education in public preschool and primary schools across the state.
The call for the program was issued on June 4th this year. It is part of the New Agreement for the Welfare and Development of Quintana Roo, a scheme promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa to enhance the quality of education in the region.
The English Language Teaching Program is designed to promote bilingual and intercultural education, thereby improving the quality of educational services for the benefit of students. This aligns with the State Development Plan 2023-2027, which supports the provision of English classes at all levels.
Teachers interested in participating in the program have until July 2nd to submit their documentation. The results will be published on July 9th on the SEQ website: https://qroo.gob.mx/seq.
The program is open to graduates from higher education institutions, university-level technicians, and public and private schools with an Incorporation Agreement through Official Recognition of Validity of Study.
The hiring process will primarily focus on the municipalities of Benito Juarez, Solidaridad, Puerto Morelos, and Tulum. However, the program may expand to other municipalities depending on budget availability.
Applicants from the municipalities of Benito Juarez, Isla Mujeres, and Puerto Morelos should submit their original documentation at the offices of Northern Zone Educational Services, located at Avenida Bonampak number 31, supermanzana segunda, in Cancun. Applicants from Solidaridad and Tulum should submit their documents at the offices of Quintana Roo Educational Services, located at Avenida Flor de Ciruelo with Paseo Ibiza in Fraccionamiento Real Ibiza in Playa del Carmen.
